Our focus is to provide a safe entry to road cycling for Manawatu school students from year 7 to year 13.

What we do

Manawatu School Cycling was created in 2007, our focus is to provide a safe entry to road cycling for Manawatu school students and ongoing weekly racing events in terms 2 & 3. We start from Year 7 to Year 13 students. MSC is run by a committee of volunteers representing Parents, Schools & Riders. MSC has a strong alliance with Bike Manawatu and we promote membership of this local cycling club.

Our events are designed for learners and competitive cyclists looking for a challenge.

We will often incorporate fun rides during the year. The events are tailored to allow for build up to NZ School cycling competitions (Intermediate North Island Champs, North Island Secondary School Champs, NZ National Schools Champs), accordingly school representatives have a say in the MSC events leading up to the key school competitions. Our events include individual time trials, team time trials, graded road racing, hill climbs & our world famous bone collector with a twist of gravel.
